Resources: hippoVEND: Vendor Offline and Blank Panel Textures

If you wish to change the texture used by a vendor when it is offline — or the texture used on “blank” panels on a multi-panel vendor — you can easily do this from the vendor configuration page. (You can also do it, inworld, by changing the textures that reside in each vendor’s inventory).

First, you’ll need to turn on “Advanced Vendor Configuration Options” in your hippoVEND preferences page (click the ‘Preferences” link at the top of each hippoVEND web page) then tick the option, like this ...

Once this option is turned on, when you configure a version 2 vendor you’ll see some new options in the Appearance & Chat section of the vendor configuration page ...

Each picklist will offer texures held in your hippoVEND servers: simply choose the texture you wish to use in each case. Once you’ve made any changes, save the configuration then update the vendor (e.g. click its icon) to apply the changes.

Note: to save page-loading time, each menu will only show a maximum of 80 textures ... if you’ve more textures than this, just ensure those you plan to use for vendor faces come within the first 80 of your entire texture list when it’s sorted alphabetically.
