Resources: hippoVEND: Smarter Multi-Panel Vendor Displays

Multi-panel vendors are a great way to show larger selections of your products to your customers and are very popular. However, if the number of products you’ve loaded into a vendor doesn’t divide equally into the number of panels, you may end up with blank panels at the end of a vendor cycle. In other words, something like this ...

The vendor in this example is holding 16 products. Because 16 does not divide properly into 6, the last set of panels have a gap at the end, as you can see.

If you edit the vendor’s ‘_config’ notecard, inside you’ll find this setting:

TRY TO AVOID BLANK PANELS: No

By changing that to this ...

TRY TO AVOID BLANK PANELS: Yes

... the vendor will, when it encounters this scenario, use products from the start of the collection to fill any gaps at the end. In effect, you’ll lose blank panels in return for “repeating” one or more products to plug the holes. The result might look like this example ...

Always remember to save the ‘_config’ notecard, click the vendor and choose “Reset”
from the menu to reload it and apply any changes you’ve made once you’re done.
