Resources: hippoVEND: Changing the Display Face of a Vendor

If you’re into customizing your own vendors, you may find it useful to be able to change the prim face that the vendor uses to display each main product image. This is now very easy. Open up the the ‘_config’ notecard that resides within the vendor’s inventory and you’ll find a line that looks like this ...

DISPLAY FACE: 2

That tells the vendor which prim face to use and will produce a vendor that looks something like this, for example ...

By changing the number, you can change this face. You can even specify more than one face, separated by commas like this ...

DISPLAY FACE: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

... if you wanted to make a vendor that applied the texture to every face, for example. The result in that case might look like this ...

Always remember to save the ‘_config’ notecard, click the vendor and choose “Reset”
from the menu to reload it and apply any changes you’ve made once you’re done.
