Resources: hippoRENT v5: Easier Version Tracking

The latest version of hippoRENT makes it easier to track which versions of the rental software your various rental boxes are running.

Finding the Version on Boxes Inworld

• Click a box, choose “Voice Cmd” from the menu and then type VERSION. The box will report something like:

• Version 5 also allows you to do this via your rental server. So, for example, click the server, choose ”Voice Cmd” and type BOXES VERSION to ask all boxes to call in and tell you their version.

  hippoRENT Server: 'Rental Box 2' @ Hippo Technologies (186, 128, 500) reports: version 5.0

Finding the Version on Web-Enabled Boxes

• As well as the above, you can show the version of rental boxes in your box list. Begin by going to the “Preferences” part of the hippoRENT website and ticking this option:
  
  
  
  You’ll see each box now displays its version underneath its name, like this:
  
  
  
  (Version 5 boxes and higher will display their exact version, old boxes will just report as “pre v5.0”).
