A new tool in hippoRENT v5 provides a way for tenants to inform you that they don’t plan to renew their tenancy. This doesn’t change anything on their rental, or prevent them changing their mind, but it does enable to tenants to helpfully warn you of their plans in advance. To use this feature ...
Tenant begins by clicking the rental box (as a landlord, you can click the box, choose “Voice Cmd” and type tenantmenu). The tenant menu will appear ...
Tenant clicks the “Won’t Renew” button.

Status reports (click the box and choose “Status” from the menu) will also tell you if a tenant has selected this option in the output they produce.
If you’re using the web-enabled version of hippoRENT, “Not Renewing” will be shown under the tenant’s name, like this:
If the tenant changes their mind, they can simply pull up the tenant menu again and choose the “May Renew” button, to tell you they may renew their tenancy after all.
