Insert RESTRICT TO GROUP: Yes into a box’s Configuration Notecard and the box will only accept payments from people who are group members (and who have that group active).
Use MUST BE IN GROUP TO RENEW: Yes to have the group check only applied when a tenancy is renewed. This is useful if you invite new tenants to your group after they’ve made their first payment (RESTRICT TO GROUP, above, would prevent them renting in the first place).
If you’re using the web-enabled version of hippoRENT, you’ll find these two settings can be set on the configuration web page for a box. Use these tickboxes to control them:
Remember that “Restrict to Group” takes precedence; so if you set it to “Yes” and “Must be in Group To Renew” to “No”, a tenant must be a group member (and have it their active group) for any payment to the box to be accepted.
