Resources: hippoRENT v5: Copying Tenancies

Using the new tenancy copying tool in hippoRENT v5, it’s easy to copy (or move) a tenancy from one rental box to another.

1. In this example, we’ll move a tenant from Rental Box 1 to Rental Box 2 ...
   
   
   
   
2. Tick the rental box you want to move the tenancy to.
   
   
   
   
3. Choose Copy/Move Tenancy To ... from the pick list of commands and click
   
   
   
   
4. You’ll then be shown a pick list with every current tenancy in it. Pick the tenancy you wish to move to this box.
   
   
   
5. Choose whether you want to copy or move the tenancy.
   
   
6. Click the button.

The rental boxes will be sent the necessary commands inworld to make the changes and will update the box list on the website when they’re done.

Useful Tips

• You can copy tenancies to pre-version 5 boxes, but the hours, minutes and time part of the rental won’t be updated, only the days.
  
  
• You can copy or move a tenancy to multiple boxes at once if you wish; just tick more than box in step 2 above.
