Resources: hippoRENT - How Do I Use Box Groups?

Box groups are a new feature introduced to v4.5 of the web-enabled version of hippoRENT. They enable you to easily group collections of rental boxes together - perhaps you'd do this by sim, or by property type, or so forth. Grouping rental boxes makes it very quickly to easily browse, select or edit all or some of the boxes within them and can be very useful if you're a landlord with a large number of properties.

Creating and Assigning Groups

• To create your first box group, enter a name into the provided and click OK ...
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Once you've done that, you can use the new Box Group drop down menu on a rental box's configuration page. You'll find it at the top, just under the rental box name.
  
  

Filtering by Group

Once you have created some box groups and assigned rental boxes to them, you can then easily select find every box in that group. Back on the main rental box page, you'll see the groups table at the top of the screen.

• Click on a group name to update the list of boxes below with just boxes in that group.
  
  
• Click 'Show all boxes' to show every rental box.
  
  
• Click 'Show boxes unassigned to any group' to find rental boxes that don't yet belong to a group.
  
  
• To delete a box group, click the icon. Note, this only deletes the group, not any rental boxes in it.
  
  
• To rename a box group, click the icon and provide a new name.
